Blake Rook is a Tonmeister, mixing & mastering engineer, musician, songwriter, engineer based out of New York, NY.
His approach to music production stems from wanting to capture the essence & intent of a song to be able to share with the world. Writing & recording original music as a hobby/passion while studying classical music at Stetson University, it became a goal to demystify the techniques behind quality music recording & production. With this intent, he received a Master’s degree from New York University in Music Technology. Studying under legends like Kevin Killen, Alan Silverman, & Paul Geluso, there was a focus on shaping the character of a song to bring out its true form in the recording, mixing, & mastering phases.
His goals with music are to define and project a sonic voice that can be found in his original music, mixes, and masters; that way fans, clients and collaborators will come from around the world seeking his skills.
He grew up in Florida with music at the center of everything he did. Learning guitar & cello beginning at 10 years-old, and shortly-after began writing songs at 13.
